Wow. Reading back on my post from 2018, I am astounded at how far I have come in my life. I look back an I am so proud of my younger self for facing his fear and FEELING the most uncomfortable emotions imaginable.
I am so proud of myself for actually doing the work.
A moment comes to mind, perhaps the most difficult part of my life, perhaps rock bottom for me. I was in Santa-Cruz, California trying to make a life there, and yet I had no drive, no direction, and no job. There were so many homeless people around that area, and I truly was going that direction myself. I was staying in a shared house inhabited by 5 other men in similar states of life confusion. The kitchen was absolutely filthy, there was random junk lying around everywhere, and I didn’t even have a bed to sleep on – I was using a camping mat.
I compare that with where I am now: I rent a beautiful house on the top of a mountain in CO with a view of the entire city of Denver in one direction, and a view of the Rocky Mountains in the other direction. I live with my beautiful, smart and wise girlfriend who is about to become a certified Doctorate of Psychology. There is a hot tub on my back patio and I am a trusted leader within the Solar financing company I work for. I also am working as the Director of Sales for a start-up poised to eliminate the global plastic disaster.
As a man – I always allow myself to feel my emotions, and after years of this my body now fully trusts me. My relationship with my body is extremely positive – my body knows that I will protect it at all costs. I will allow nothing and no one to abuse my body, my soul or my good nature.
I am very excited about my future. I will continue to work for the betterment of our Earth and in attempt to save our precious environment. Much love to all.
